Having good manners does not make someone to be a good person to be in a relationship with. If he pays for the dinner always and holds the door open for you, does not mean he will be all great in relationship. Someone can have great manners but still can be controlling or emotionally neglecting.

Sure the partner you are planning to date should have some similar interest so that you both can gel up and stand eye to eye. But looking for someone who is exactly like you and have same interests is like losing out on all those awesome people who do not have same interest as you but can be super fun to be with. Try to get out of your comfort zone.

It is so much hype to be friend first with your boyfriend. Sure that can be great but that can be annoying as well. Do not let you wish to know your partner first and then deciding to be in relationship affect your chances of having an awesome relationship.
