We love our skin. Our skin protects you from external forces like infections and the sun’s harsh rays. It is our body’s shelter, so to speak but are you treating yours well? You might not realize that some of your daily activities are the top things that are ruining your skin. Here are the things that totally ruin your skin.

  1. Sleeping with makeup on

Falling asleep with makeup on can lead to bacterial infections and clogged pores, which can cause acne. The residue that stays on your pillow can make you sick. Keep makeup removing strips next to your bed.

  1. Chlorine

Your skin feels typical after a swim in a pool for a reason, because even after a quick shower chlorine can cling to your skin and negatively react with lotions and cleansers.

  1. Coffee

Caffeine leads to dry skin and wrinkles. Drink lots of water to hydrate your skin.

  1. Hot showers

Though long hot showers are quite comforting, but heat from prolonged shower can dry your skin.

  1. Not drinking enough water

Hydrating yourself daily will not only help to fight off aging, but also give your skin a healthy glow. Skipping water will leave your skin roigh and shrunken.

  1. Talking on the phone

Talking on phones for hours can lead to breakouts and rashes along your jawline and cheek. Make sure to keep antibacterial wipes with you to keep your phone and skin clean.

  1. Wearing dirty sunglasses

Do not forget to wipe your sunglasses. Bacteria that build up on your glasses can get into the pores through the bridge of your nose, causing breakouts and irritation.

  1. Not enough sleep

Getting the eight hours of sleep a night will not only help you look refreshed, but it will also replenish and rehydrate skin. Not getting an eight hour sleep can result in dull skin and clogged pores.

  1. Waxing too often

Too much waxing can result in raw skin and increased bumps. Give your skin at least three weeks to regenerate, especially in sensitive areas.

  1. Frowning

Constant movements of the muscles from facial expressions can lead to frown lines. To give your skin a rest, try avoiding scrunching and pouting of the face, which will cause permanent wrinkles and lines in your skin.

  1. Stress

It can cause blemishes, dullness, and rashes. It also creates stress lines from facial movements in your skin over time. To avoid stress, take time to do something you enjoy like yoga, reading, or cooking.

Too much consumption of sugar hurts the collagen in your skin, leaving you with sag.

  1. Smoking and Drinking

These two can ruin your skin faster than anything else. Drinking makes your skin dry and irritated and makes all the veins come up to the surface. Smoking makes you look sallow and old.

  1. Too much AC

If you Ac is always on full speed, it is hampering the air of humidity and moisture your skin needs.
